T Minus three weeks and ill be boarding a plane to Bangok. Again. “For the last time”. Again. This will be my fifth trip to Southeast Asia and year after year I tell myself I need to pick a new region. Diverse landscapes, sunny weather, cheap eats and a hell of a good time keeps sucking me back in. Bangkok will be more of a jumpoff for Myanmar this year and I don’t believe ill be seeing much more of Thailand this time around…Butttt one of the many beautiful things I’ve learned through travel is to be spontaneous and not to plan too far ahead, so knows where ill end up. Things generally work out for the best and I will just be going with the flow.
As always ill be staying at Bodega Bangkok, ran by three fellow American brothers. Having the most comfortable beds I’ve came across in an Asian hostel and an amazing vibe. The 24 hour bar is pretty hard to beat as well.. With most trips to this insane city I tend to do little exploring and spend the few days I have there recharging my batteries for the next round of the unknown and relaxing at the hostel. This time around I plan on doing things slightly different.. Ive done the typical tourist things: sky bars, grand palace, Khao San Road(which I refuse to stay near) but sure do love slamming a few Changs on. Keep an eye here for some more urban exploration off the beaten track adventures, and plenty of rowdy and typical Bangkok nights as I meet back up with my Canadian buddy Zac who I met here last year.
